Job Description

Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Establish all regularly scheduled maintenance and inspection activities in AMS
  • Establish all routine maintenance activities, such as scheduled inspections, routine preventative maintenance, and common repairs, as job plans in AMS.
  • Monitor and update status of work orders in AMS.
  • Generate follow-up work orders in AMS for maintenance and repair activity identified as needed during preventative maintenance checks.
  • Generate corrective work orders in AMS as identified by contractor, airport, or airline personnel.
  • Schedule work orders based on available resources, priority, schedules, etc.
  • Enter data in AMS such as labor hours, parts usage, failure report information, downtime, follow-up work required, asset data, notes, etc. upon completion of work orders.
  • Perform additional duties as required by leadership.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
  • Experience in support of engineering/construction or service projects
  • Experience handling multiple tasks in a high-energy facility
  • Valid Drivers License

Other Requirements:

Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport ID Badge

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
  • Experience with JD Edwards
  • Experience with Dos Maximo
  • Maintenance/mechanical knowledge of conveyor systems

  • General technical knowledge of conveyor systems.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and initiative; who would like to grow and develop within the organization.
  • Ability to solve problems which disturb the daily operation.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Ability to identify issues that need extra attention
  • Self-reliant in a variety of less interrelated technical tasks

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, working 8-5pm Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend work is possible.

Travel:

This position requires no travel.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The work environment/physical requirements described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The job can be stressful because logistical work is fast-paced. Although Spare Parts Coordinators prepare reports in an office, they also spend time in the airport floor, where they sometimes handle packages or automatic equipment such as conveyor systems. They move items, a job that can involve frequent bending and lifting.
