University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified APRN or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Urogynecology practice in Minneapolis, MN.

Schedule:

  • 1.0 FTE - Full Time

  • Monday - Friday

  • No Call

We're Looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with First Assist Certification Who Is:

  • A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal APRN training program.

  • Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC, AMCB or AANP.

  • Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's).

  • Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.

  • OR Duties - 1st assist in robotic cases.

  • Hospital based service: in-patient rounding.

  • Clinic: Evaluation and non-surgical management of common uro-gynecologic conditions such as fecal and urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, non-cyclic pelvic and bladder pain, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, and postoperative follow ups

  • Provide urogynecology mentorship/education for rotating students, residents, or care team in the clinic.

  • Be able to work at more than one clinic site and provide both in person and virtual care.

What Could Set You Apart?

  • Prior urogynecology or women's health clinicalexperience is preferablebut not required.

  • Prior surgical first assist experience or a strong interest.

Our team includes two board certified urogynecologists who practice at women's health and urology clinics within the metro area.

We provide comprehensive patient-centered care andoffer therapy ranging from conservative management such as patient education, pessaries, pelvic floor physical therapy and medicatio to more advanced therapy including minimally invasive treatments and robotic surgery. Patients have the flexibility of virtual as well as in-person visits to best suit their needs and avoid access barriers. Patients always come first and are provided with detailed counselling and treatment options that consider their diagnosis, lifestyle, existing medical conditions, belief systems and goals for outcome. In addition to patient care, we are also involved in teaching medical students and residents, research and innovation as well as community outreach through local and global engagement.
